Hi,
So while I was honing my skills as a Fashion Stylist in FAD INTERNATIONAL, Pune and learning the different aspects of Styling , a term which not many are aware of today , I did an Editorial Shoot , with my batchmates and created a fashion story .
This Style story is about a lady, bold and brazen ; loud and clear – FRIDA KAHLO , a Mexican Artist and her journey of life.
Taking Inspirations from her lifestyle, her fashion sense, her professional and romantic life , her biopic FRIDA (2002) and of course, the ongoing Fashion Trends , we created an editorial that speaks volumes about the same.
We took on her trippy attitude for life , and created a visually arresting concept with moods that had myriad of colors that lent method to the madness, with prints and patterns aplenty – A mood that’s fresh as ever yet exudes a mystical appeal.

Frida Kahlo endorsed her unflinching charisma with her signature statement-making hairdo, that still inspires and amuses crowds and numerous fashion shows. Her famous floral and ribbon headwear with braided hair-do was our favourite.

We’ve been obsessed with eyebrows since last year. With Cara Delevingne making her eyebrows her focal point, we got immediate crush towards Frida Kahlo’s unibrow. The Make Up contained red lips, blushed cheeks and bare minimum eyes .

It’s time I introduce you to the striking story of Frida Kahlo and the editorial connected to her life. Each shot has been inspired from a major and unique aspect of her life.

LOOK 1: HER UNIQUE IDENTITY
Her signature look against the eclectic blue backdrop just like her home with a potted plant. Vibrant and straightforward.

LOOK 2: SELF PORTRAITS
The time when she took up painting as her solace and how she started with her signature Self Portraits
MIRRORS!

LOOK 3 : MEETING THE LOVE OF LIFE
She soon meets the love of her life – San Diego , who was a painter himself. She is seen here holding a portrait of Diego .

LOOK 4 : TRAGEDY
Frida meets with a tragic life accident where she is left crippled. This leaves her traumatised but she still continues with painting.

LOOK 5 : BISEXUAL TENDENCIES
Fearless and bold as she was, Frida was attracted to women as well.

LOOK 6 : DREAM
Alas, she fulfills her dream by showing to the world her life through her path-baking painting and exhibiting them.
