THE SIX YARD STORY – 2.0

Six yards story - saree styles

Imagine – You are in India. You travel . With every new area you step in you find people speaking in different dialect , eating different food and clothed in a unique style of their own. That’s the speciality of India- its versatility in every form.  Welcome to a nation of myriad of different stories , each woven with love .

The most intriguing part of the nation is its national attire- THE SAREE . With different forms of sarees from Punjab to Gujarat and Bengal to Tamil Nadu, each area has a different style to the very same saree. While this version that you know about is THE SIX YARD STORY 1.0 , this story I am talking about is a little ahead, a little modernised , a little unconventional  .

Today, fashion has taken over pretty much everything  and for good and the Saree is no exception . Lakme Fashion Week is one  such platform that showcases the best of fashion every year , twice . The Spring Summer ’19 series was mesmerizing with each designer showcasing their collections that were visually arresting .

What  blew me away was a plethora of sarees , each in a new version – the version 2.0.
